ISC Paris Earns AACSB International Accreditation
Tampa, Fla., USA (16 February 2017)—AACSB International (AACSB) announces that ISC Paris has earned accreditationfor its School of Management. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degrees in business and accounting.
“AACSB congratulates ISC Paris and dean Bruno Neil on earning accreditation," said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "AACSB Accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees. The entire ISC Paris team—including the administration, faculty, directors, staff, and students—are to be commended for their roles in earning accreditation.”
AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 786 business schools in 53 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation. Similarly, 186 institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.
“ISC Paris is proud to join the family of AACSB accredited schools, which recognizes the School's commitment to continuous improvement—and further anchors this philosophy within the School's culture,” said dean Neil.
Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, engagement with an AACSB assigned mentor, and peer review. During the multi-year process the school focuses on developing and implementing a plan to align with AACSB’s Accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
“It takes a great deal of self-evaluation and determination to earn AACSB Accreditation, and I commend ISC Paris for its dedication to management education, as well as its leadership in the community," said Reid. "Through accreditation, ISC Parishas not only met specific standards of excellence, but has also made a commitment to ongoing improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to its students.”
AACSB International also announced that Asia UniversityTaiwan, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Soochow University,Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Thammasat University, and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point have earned accreditation in business, and Binghamton UniversitySUNY has earned accreditation in accounting.
